John is the founder and CEO of Lakeside Capital Group, LLC. He sits on several boards of companies in which Lakeside has an investment. John is also a member of the Board of Regents for Gonzaga University, a member of the Advisory Board for the Boys & Girls Club of Spokane, and sits on the board for the Rypien Foundation, and Spokane Neighborhood Action Program (SNAP). In addition to his passion for philanthropic efforts, John is a supporter of advanced education programs. John’s extensive business experience includes start-ups, divestitures, mergers, public offerings and restructurings.

John earned his associates degree in Business Administration from National American University in 1974 and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management Program. John currently resides in Liberty Lake, Washington.

In 1974, Tom founded a business management firm that today serves the interests of a diverse range of businesses, including funeral homes located in seven Midwestern states. As an entrepreneur, he has been involved in several start-up ventures, hospitality concerns and real estate developments.

Melissa is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Lakeside. In addition, she oversees the development and management of both high-end residential and commercial properties, completes financial analyses to assess company viability and maintains the personal affairs for the CEO of Lakeside Capital Group. Melissa brings over 12 years of experience in the financial industry and a wealth of leadership to the Lakeside management team. She holds her real estate license in the state of Idaho and is a member of the National Association of Realtors. Melissa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, Cum Laude, from Arizona State University.

Jeff has developed a broad range of business skills while serving in the Lakeside family of companies for over twelve years. He has held several positions which include accounting and finance, business development, and sales and marketing. In addition to his experience with Lakeside, Jeff is also an Airline Transport Pilot, having flown for Raytheon and Northwest Airlines. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting from the University of Central Missouri where he was also a four-year letterman in baseball.

Angie has been with Lakeside Capital for seven years and is continually called upon to assist and manage new ventures. Her diverse project portfolio includes spearheading successful virtual education programs, online store development, e-learning, multi-media and sales. In addition, Angie oversees Lakeside’s marketing initiatives, numerous philanthropic efforts and manages commercial real estate properties. Angie specializes in superior customer service and continually delivers successful results. Angie graduated with honors from Washington State University earning her BA in Communications.

Ross graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Business Administration/Management Information Systems in 2002. He also received a certificate from University of Idaho in Geographic Information Systems. He then worked for seven years with Ambassador Programs as a Market Analyst. Ross is the 4th generation in the family farm business and is excited to be back in the agriculture industry. The blend of his recent career in analytics and historical background from the family farm make a perfect mix to take Lakeside’s farm investments to the next level.

Brian is a co-captain in the Citation Excel, manages aircraft operations, and conducts energy sector equity research. He has over 18 years of military and commercial flying experience and has amassed over 5200 flight hours in fixed and rotary-wing aircraft. As a Marine, he has held numerous flight leadership and instructor qualifications, served in a variety of program management and supervisory positions, and completed three combat tours to the Persian Gulf. He is a graduate of the University of Washington with a B.A. in International Studies / American Foreign Policy. He is also a Naval Flight School Honor Graduate, an Honor Graduate from the Naval Postgraduate School Aviation Safety Officer’s Course, and a Distinguished Graduate of the Marine Corps Command & Staff College.
